Exynos 9611 vs Helio P60 CPU and GPU

CPU

Start the comparison with the CPU section of both chipsets, here the Exynos 9611 and Helio P60 both have an Octa-Core CPU based on 64 Bit architecture. Exynos 9611 has 4 ARM’s Cortex-A73 Powerful Cores running at up to 2.30GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 Efficiency Cores clocked at up to 1.70GHz clock speed.

On the other hand, the Helio P60 also incorporates eight cores – four ARM’s Cortex-A53 Little Cores and 4 Cortex-A73 Big Cores. Both clusters can operate at up to 2GHz clock speed.

Here the Exynos 9611 has a better clock speed of its big cores while the Helio P60 has a better clock speed of its little cores. So having a better clock speed of big cores, Exynos 9611 is a better chipset compared to the Helio P60 chipset. It will process the heavy tasks smoothly compared to the Helio P60 chipset.

GPU

Speaking of the GPU section, here the Exynos 9611 integrates an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU with an unknown clock speed while the Helio P60 incorporates a Mali-G72 GPU operating at up to 800MHz clock speed. Here both chipsets have the same GPU, but the clock speed is unknown of the Exynos 9611, so we can’t declare the winner here.

Fabrication Process

Looking at the fabrication process, here the Exynos 9611 is built using the company’s 10nm FinFET Process while on the other side, the Helio P60 works on TSMC’s 12nm process technology. Not only this SoC, but almost all the mid-range SoCs of MediaTek also use this same process technology, don’t know why is the company not upgrading the manufacturing process of its chipsets.

So here no doubt the Exynos 9611 is more power-efficient and more powerful chipset than the Helio P60.

Exynos 9611 vs Helio P60 Artificial Intelligence

At the launch time of the Helio P60, it was the most robust chipset in the mid-range segment in terms of AI Processing. It was the first chipset in the mid-range coming with a dedicated APU. With a dedicated APU Engine, the AI performance of the Helio P60 was Excellent in the mid-range. At that time, there was no chipset available in the mid-range, which can beat the Helio P60 in the case of AI. But not the Kirin 810 is a chipset which can overcome the Helio P60 in AI Processing.

On the other side, Exynos 9611 has improved AI Processing than Exynos 9610. But with these improvements, it is unable to beat the Helio P60 in the case of AI Processing. Using AI, it can take better photographs. The company implemented AI in just the camera section.

So in terms of AI Processing, the Helio P60 is a much better chipset than Exynos 9611.

Now compare the camera of Exynos 9611 and Helio P60, the Exynos 9611 supports dual camera same as Exynos 9610 which is 16MP + 16MP while in the case of the single-camera it has support for 24MP single camera and can go up to 64MP single camera.

On the other side, the Helio P60 is capable of handling a dual camera of up to 24MP + 16MP while in the case of the single-camera it has support for 16MP single camera at 90fps with ZSD and up to 32MP single camera at 30fps with ZSD.

Here the Exynos 9611 is better than Helio P60 because it is upgradeable up to 64MP.

RAM and Storage

Speaking of RAM support then the Exynos 9611 supports up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM operating at up to 1800MHz while the Helio P60 supports LPDDR3 RAM up to 4GB at 933MHz and up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 1800MHz.

In the case of storage, both chipsets have support for storage types of eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1.

Display Support

Here in the display section, the Helio P60 can support a maximum display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while the Exynos 9611 supports WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) displays.

Here in terms of connectivity features the Exynos 9611 is a better chipset than the Helio P60 because it is capable of providing a maximum downloading speed of 600Mbps using LTE Cat.12 and an uploading speed of 300Mbps using LTE Cat.13. While the Helio P60 can capture a maximum downloading speed of 300Mbps using LTE Cat.7 and an uploading speed of 300Mbps using LTE Cat.13.

The Exynos 9611 also includes other connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, etc.
