Manufacturing Process

Before compare the CPU of Exynos 9611 and Helio P65, first let’s compare their manufacturing process. Here the newer Exynos 9611 is designed at company’s 10nm FinFET Process. On the other side, like all other mid-range chipsets of MediaTek, the Helio P65 also uses the 12nm manufacturing process. For a long time, the company has not improved the manufacturing process of its chipsets, due to which its chipsets lag behind other chipsets.

Here in terms of energy-efficiency, the Exynos 9611 is a better chipset than the Helio P65 chipset.

Now let’s compare CPU of Exynos 9611 and Helio P65, speaking of Exynos 9611, it has an eight-core CPU which divides its cores into two clusters – big and small. It has 4 ARM’s Cortex-A73 Big Cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 Small Cores that can operate at up to 1.70GHz clock speed.

On the other side, the Helio P65 also features an octa-core CPU based on 64Bit architecture. It also has big and little core groups. It contains 4 ARM’s Cortex-A75 Big Cores clocked at 2GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 Little Cores that are also running at 2GHz clock speed.

Coming to the GPU, here Exynos 9611 integrates an Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU with faster clock speed than its predecessor. Its clock speed is unknown until now.

On the other side, the Helio P65 incorporates a Mali-G52 GPU operating at up to 820MHz. Here the GPU of the Helio P65 is better than the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU of Exynos 9611.

Exynos 9611 vs Helio P65 AI Capabilities

The AI Performance of all the mid-range chipsets of MediaTek is stronger compared to other mid-range chipsets of other companies. The Helio P65 brings improvements in its AI part over the Helio P60 and P70 which have excellent AI performance in the mid-range segment. The Helio P60 was the first to feature a dedicated APU while the Helio P70 brings APU 2.0 which is an upgrade over the Helio P60. Now the Helio P65 is an upgrade over both of these chipsets, so it has 2X improved AI performance over the Helio P70 chipset.

While on the other side, the Exynos 9611 brings improvement over the Exynos 9610 in terms of AI. Using AI, it will provide an enhanced photography experience, but it is unable to beat the Helio P65 chipset in the case of AI.

So here no doubt the Helio P65 is a much better chipset than Exynos 9611 in terms of AI Processing.

Camera Support

Comparing the camera section of both SoCs, here Exynos 9611 can support a dual camera up to 16MP + 16MP and single camera of 24MP and can go up to 64MP.

On the other hand, the Helio P65 also supports 16MP + 16MP dual cameras. While in terms of a single camera, it has support for 25MP single camera at 30fps and 48MP at 17fps.

Here the Exynos 9611 will be a better option compared to the Helio P65 chipset because the Exynos 9611 can handle up to 64MP single camera while the Helio P65 supports up to 48MP single camera.

RAM and Storage Support

Here the Exynos 9611 supports LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB operating at up to 1800MHz while the Helio P65 has support for LPDDR3 RAM up to 4GB at 933MHz and LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB clocked at 1800MHz.

In the case of storage, the Exynos 9611 got the support for eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 based storage while the Helio P65 has support for eMMC 5.1 storage only.

Display Support

In the display section, Exynos 9611 has support for WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) displays while the Helio P65 supports up to Full HD+ displays with a maximum resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels.

Exynos 9611 vs Helio P65 Connectivity Features

The connectivity features of Exynos 9611 are same as Exynos 9610. Is also can provide a maximum downloading speed of 600Mbps using LTE Cat.12 and an uploading speed of up to 150Mbps using LTE Cat.13. Other connectivity features like Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo are also available in this SoC.

On the other side, the Helio P65 can capture a maximum downloading speed of 300Mbps using LTE Cat.7 and an uploading speed of up to 150Mbps using LTE Cat.13. It also integrates other features like WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, GPS, etc.
