Samsung officially announced its Exynos 9825 chipset. This SoC is the successor of Exynos 9820 chipset. The company has also launched its Galaxy Note 10 series. In the Galaxy Note 10, the company has used this processor. This SoC brings only a tiny improvement over Exynos 9820 chipset. With Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 855, we have already compared this chipset. Here we are to compare Exynos 9825 vs Helio G90T chipsets.
The Helio G90T is a mid-range processor that was also announced recently. This chipset is a gaming-centric chipset which will provide enhanced gaming experience to mid-range devices using MediaTek HyperEngine Game Technology. This chipset brings the latest CPU cores and GPU paired with MediaTek HyperEngine Game Technology. Here we will find the difference between Exynos 9825 and Helio G90T chipsets and know that which one better chipset between Exynos 9825 and Helio G90T. Let’s compare them.
Exynos 9825 vs Helio G90T CPU & GPU
First of all let’s compare the CPU section of these processors, here the Exynos 9825 features a 64-bit CPU with eight-cores which includes 4 custom cores running with a maximum speed of up to 2.73GHz, 2 Cortex-A75 cores running at 2.4GHz and other 4 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.95GHz.
While on the other side, the Helio G90T also has an octa-core CPU based on 64-bit memory architecture which includes ARM Cortex-A76 cores operating at 2.05GHz clock speed while other 6 Cortex-A55 cores running with a maximum speed of up to 2.00GHz. Here the Exynos 9825 is a flagship-level chipset having 4 stronger CPU cores because of which it can’t let Helio G90T go ahead. So in the case of CPU, the flagship Exynos 9825 is better chipset over the Helio G90T mid-range chipset.
Moving to the GPU section, here the Exynos 9825 chipset features ARM Mali-G76 MP12 GPU while the Helio G90T got Arm Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU with a maximum speed of up to 800MHz. In this section also the Exynos 9825 has better GPU compared to Helio G90T. So in gaming and other graphical tasks, the flagship Exynos 9825 will perform better compared to Helio G90T.
Speaking of the manufacturing process, the flagship Exynos 9825 processor is built using 7nm EUV LPP process technology. While the Helio G90T is still working on the 12nm manufacturing process, let’s see when the company will start to use an improved manufacturing process because other mid-range processors are working on the 8-10nm manufacturing process while MediaTek’s mid-range processors still working on 12nm process technology. So in this section, also Exynos 9825 is ahead over MediaTek Helio G90T.
Exynos 9825 vs Helio G90T Supported Features
Talking about the camera department, here the Exynos 9825 supports up to 22MP single camera and dual camera up to 16MP + 16MP while on the other side the Helio G90T brings improvements in its camera department. It has triple ISP which can allow it to support a single camera up to 64MP at 22.5fps and dual camera up to 24MP + 16MP at 30fps.
RAM & Storage
Speaking of RAM, here the Exynos 9825 can support LPDDR4X RAM up to 12GB at 2093MHz while the Helio G90T has support for LPDDR4X RAM up to 10GB at 2133MHz.
In terms of storage, the Exynos 9825 supports UFS 3.0 & UFS 2.1 based storage while MediaTek Helio G90T supports UFS 2.1 & eMMC 5.1 types of storage.
In this section, the Exynos 9825 has support for WQUXGA displays with a max resolution of up to 3840x2400px and 4K UHD with 4096x2160px. On the other side, the Helio G90T can support up to 2400 x 1080 Full HD Plus displays with a 21:9 aspect ratio at 90Hz.
Exynos 9825 vs Helio G90T Artificial Intelligence
The companies provide better features in their flagship chipsets or smartphones compared to mid-range chipsets or smartphones. The same situation is here. The Exynos 9825 got an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to deliver the next generation of mobile experiences from AI-powered photography to augmented reality. The NPU has fast and efficient AI processing because of which it has possibilities for on-device AI from object recognition for optimized photos, to a suite of performance-enhancing intelligence features such as faster app loading and usage pattern recognition.
While on the other side, the Helio G90T also brings improvements in AI. It features the company’s dual APU clocked at 750Mhz. Its CPU, GPU, and APU are combined with the company’s HyperEngine Game Technology. This chipset can deliver up to 1TMACs performance. With these improved AI features the Helio G90T also can’t beat Exynos 9825 in terms of AI because it is a flagship chipset and features NPU instead of APU which performs better in AI-related tasks.
Here the Exynos 9825 has Shannon 5000 Integrated LTE modem which can capture a maximum download speed up to 2Gbps using LTE Cat.20 and uploading speed up to 316Mbps using LTE Cat.13. While the Helio G90T can capture a maximum download speed of up to 600Mbps using LTE Cat.12 and uploading speed up to 150Mbps using LTE Cat.13. Other connectivity options like BlueTooth 5.0, WiFi 5, VoWiFi, Dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, FM Radio, etc. are provided in both chipsets.
