Helio G90T vs Snapdragon 855 CPU & GPU
Starting the comparison with their manufacturing process before CPU, the newer Helio G90T still working on the 12nm manufacturing process while Snapdragon 855 works on the 7nm manufacturing process. We don’t know why the company is still using the 12nm fabrication process while on the other side other companies like Qualcomm, HiSilicon, Exynos, etc. are using 7nm or 8nm manufacturing process. There is a difference of 5nm between both chipsets. The difference of 5nm is too much because of which the battery will drain fast of Helio G90 compared to Snapdragon 855 during gaming. So, in this case, Snapdragon 855 is a batter chipset than the Helio G90T and the mid-range Helio G90T can’t beat the flagship Snapdragon 855.
In the case of CPU, MediaTek Helio G90T got a 64-bit Octa-Core CPU which includes 2 Arm Cortex-A76 powerful cores clocked at 2.05GHz while other 6 Arm Cortex-A55 Cores running at 2.0GHz. While on the other side, Snapdragon 855 has 64-bit Octa-Core CPU with Kryo 485 Cores. Talking about the camera department, here Snapdragon 855 features Qualcomm Spectra 380 image signal processor which is a 14-bit dual ISP and has Hardware accelerator for computer vision. This ISP allows it to support a dual camera up to 22MP at 30fps with MFNR and ZSL. While in terms of a single camera it can support up to 48MP single camera sensor at 30fps with MFNR and ZSL. Without MFNR and ZSL, it can support up to the 192MP single camera sensor.
On the other side, Helio G90T can support up to 24MP + 16MP dual camera sensor at 30fps. While in terms of dual camera it can support up to 64MP single camera sensor at 22.5fps.
RAM & Storage
Speaking of MediaTek Helio G90T, it can support LPDDR4X RAM up to 10GB operating at 2133MHz. It also supports LPDDR3 RAM. On the other side, Snapdragon 855 can support 4 x 16bit LPDDR4X up to 10GB RAM operating at 2133MHz.
In terms of storage, both chipsets have support for eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 types of storage.
In this section, Snapdragon 855 can support up to 4K Ultra HD display with HDR10+ and up to 10-bit color depth. While MediaTek Helio G90T can support 90Hz, Full HD+ displays with an aspect ratio of 21:9.
Helio G90T vs Snapdragon 855 AI Capabilities
Nowadays MediaTek is doing a great job in terms of AI in its chipsets. Its all newly launched chipsets have great AI performance. The Helio G90T features a dedicated APU which can provide 1TMACs of AI Power.
On the other side, Snapdragon 855 has Hexagon 690 AIE DSP which comes with Hexagon Vector eXtensions, Hexagon Tensor Accelerator, Hexagon Voice Assistant and Qualcomm All-Ways Aware technology. With these features, it performs very well in terms of handling all AI tasks.

For fast charging, it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology.
At the same time, MediaTek Helio G90T uses LTE Cat-12 Modem for providing a download speed of up to 600Mbps and LTE Cat-13 Modem for providing an upload speed of up to 150Mbps. Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Dual VoLTE, VoWiFi, FM Radio, NFC ,etc. are supported in this chipset.
