Start with the display of Redmi 8A, it has a 6.2 inches waterdrop notch display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19:9 and the protection of Gorilla Glass 5.

At the rear panel, Redmi 8A has a single camera along with an LED flash, design like Redmi Note 8 Pro as well as Redmi’s branding.

To powering the Infinix Hot 8, it brings a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging along with Micro USB 2.0 port.

On the other side, Redmi 8A works on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. It has 12nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 Octa-Core processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It is paired with 2GB and 3GB RAM. Both variants have 32GB internal storage and a dedicated SD card slot to expand the storage up to 512GB.

For power, Redmi 8A got 5000mAh battery with 10W charging which supports 18W fast charging. To charge it the phone has a Type-C port.

Here the batteries of both phones are the same while Helio A22 processor is a quad-core processor so Snapdragon 439 is better than Helio A22 but it is not stronger than Helio P22 which is provided in 4GB variant of Infinix Hot 8. The Redmi 8A is better than the 2GB variant of Infinix Hot 8 but not than 4GB variant.

Coming to the camera department where Redmi 8A features a single rear and a single selfie camera. Its rear camera contains a 13MP Sony IMX363 sensor which has been used in flagship devices such as Poco F1. On the front panel, it features an 8MP selfie camera inside the Notch.

At the same time, Infinix Hot 8 brings a triple rear and a single selfie camera. Its rear camera includes a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP secondary depth sensor, and a QVGA Low light sensor as well as an LED flash. While for selfies and video calling it brings an 8MP selfie camera on the front panel.

Here the rear camera of Infinix Hot 8 is better but Redmi 8A has a stronger sensor but it has a single camera only. So the rear camera of Infinix Hot 8 is better while the selfie camera of both phones is the same which is 8MP.

On the other side, Infinix Hot 8 also has 2 variants – 2GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. Its 2GB/32GB variant is not available until now while the price of its 4GB/64GB variant is Rs. 6,999. So here at Rs. 6,999, Redmi 8A features 3GB RAM and 32GB storage while Infinix Hot 8 features 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
