In the Chinese smartphone market, Redmi – sub-brand of Xiaomi unveiled its new smartphone Redmi Note 8 Pro on August 29th. This is the first smartphone having MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T chipset along and paired with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. With 6GB RAM you will get 64GB or 128GB storage and 128GB storage with an 8GB RAM variant. This phone also features a hybrid SIM slot like other Xiaomi smartphones. For power, it brings a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging and support for Quick Charge 4+ technology along with Type-C 2.0 port for charging.
On the other side, Oppo Reno 2 works on Color OS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. This phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset along with Adreno 618 GPU and paired with 8GB RAM. Moving to their camera department which is also a special feature of Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Redmi Note 8 Pro ships with a quad-camera setup on the back panel and a single camera on the front panel. Its rear camera includes a 64MP primary, an 8MP secondary ultra-wide, a 2MP dedicated macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor along with an LED flash. While for selfies and video calling it brings a 20MP front camera inside the Notch.
On the other side, Oppo Reno 2 also features a quad camera setup on the back panel and a single selfie camera for selfies and video calling. Its rear camera includes a 48MP primary, a 13MP secondary telephoto, an 8MP ultra-wide angle, and a 2MP dedicated macro camera along with an LED flash. While for selfie lovers it got a 16MP motorized pop-up shark-fin camera.

Coming to their main point which is price. Redmi Note 8 Pro is only launched in China and the company hasn’t provided any information about its India launch. This phone features 3 variants based on RAM & storage – 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB storage. The price of its 6GB/64GB variant is 1399 Chinese Yuan around Rs. 14,500 while its 6GB/128GB variant costs 1599 CNY around Rs. 16,500. At the same time, the price of its 8GB/128GB variant is 1799 CNY around 18,500 Indian Rupees.
On the other side, Oppo Reno 2 brings only one variant based on RAM & storage which is 8GB/256GB and it costs Rs. 36,990.
