Qualcomm has unveiled a new processor of its Snapdragon 200 series for entry-level smartphones – Snapdragon 215. This chipset is launched as a successor of Snapdragon 212 chipset by offering a faster GPU along with support for dual cameras. It also has faster CPU compared to its predecessor. Snapdragon 215 vs Snapdragon 210 CPU & GPU
Before speaking of CPU of Snapdragon 215 chipset, let’s tell you that is still based on a 28nm process like its predecessor Snapdragon 212. It features a 64-bit based Quad-Core CPU with 4 Cortex-A53 cores with a clock speed of 1.3GHz. ARM claims that it offers 50% faster performance compared to A7 cores. In case of GPU, it has Adreno 308 GPU which also has 28% boost in graphics performance and supports max display resolution of 1560x720p.
On other side, the Snapdragon 210 is also build using 28nm process. It has a Quad-Core GPU based on 32-bit. It features 4 ARM’s Cortex-A7 Cores clocked at 1.1GHz clock speed. In case of GPU, it offers Adreno 304 GPU with support of 720p displays. Here in terms of CPU and GPU, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 performs quite better compared to Snapdragon 210. In case of camera and optics, the Snapdragon 215 has a 12 bit Image Signal Processor which supports dual rear and single selfie camera. It has support for single camera up to 13MP and dual camera up to 8MP. It also allows HD video calling and Full HD video calling.

On the other hand the Snapdragon 210 can support LPDDR2 and LPDDR3 RAM with a maximum speed of up to 533MHz and storage type of eMMC 4.5 and SD 3.0 (UHS-I). In this case also the Snapdragon 215 wins.

The Snapdragon 210 also has X5 LTE Modem which allows it to provide download speed like Snapdragon 215 chipset. It has support for Bluetooth 4.1 while the Snapdragon 215 supports Bluetooth 4.2.
