Snapdragon 675 vs Helio P90 CPU & GPU
Here in the case of CPU, Snapdragon 675 ships with an octa-core CPU based on 64-bit architecture. It has Kryo 460 CPU cores which include eight-cores having 2 Arm Cortex-A76 Gold cores clocked at 2.02GHz while other 6 Cortex-A55 Silver cores running at 1.8GHz. At the same time, MediaTek Helio P90 also brings 64-bit octa-core CPU including eight CPU cores. First cores are 2 Arm Cortex-A75 powerful cores clocked at 2.2GHz while other 6 Cortex-A55 efficiency cores operating at 2.0GHz.
Here the first 2 Arm Cortex-A76 cores are better in Snapdragon 675 while the speed of first 2 Arm Cortex-A75 cores is better in Helio P90 and other 6 Cortex-A55 cores have a higher frequency in Helio P90 too.
In the GPU section, Snapdragon 675 comes with the company’s Adreno 612 GPU while MediaTek Helio P90 is coupled with ARM Mali G72 MP3 GPU. This GPU brings a boost of 50% in GPU graphical performance compared to Helio P60 and Helio P70 but doesn’t over Adreno 612. So here the GPU of Snapdragon 675 is better than the GPU of Helio P90. Snapdragon 675 with perform smoothly in gaming or other graphical tasks than Helio P90.
In this case, Snapdragon 675 is fabricated on the 11nm manufacturing process while MediaTek Helio P90 is still built using the 12nm manufacturing process. Although, the company builds its every mid-range processor on this fabrication process. For a long time, the company is now improving the fabrication process of its mid-range processors. So in this case, Snapdragon 675 is also better than Helio P90, it is a more power-efficient chipset than Helio P90.
Snapdragon 675 vs Helio P90 Supported Features
In the camera department, Snapdragon 675 has Qualcomm Spectra 250L image signal processor that is a 14-bit dual ISP and supports a dual camera up to 16MP at 30fps with MFNR & ZSL. In the case of a single camera, it is capable to support up to 25MP single camera sensor at 30fps with MFNR & ZSL, 48MP with MFNR only and 192MP without MFNR & ZSL. It is also capable to record videos in 720p at 240fps, 1080p at 120fps and 4k at 30fps.
On the other side, MediaTek Helio P90 supports a dual camera up to 24MP + 16MP and a single camera up to 48MP. It can record videos with 48MP at 30fps and 120fps with 16MP.
RAM & Storage
Snapdragon 675 supports the dual-channel and 16bit LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB clocked at 1866MHz while MediaTek Helio P90 also supports the same dual-channel LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB clocked at 1866MHz too.
In the case of storage, Snapdragon 675 supports eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 types of storage while MediaTek Helio P90 supports UFS 2.1 based storage.
In this case, Snapdragon 675 can support up to FHD+(2520×1080) displays while MediaTek Helio P90 also supports the same Full HD Plus displays with a maximum resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels.
Snapdragon 675 Vs Helio P90 Artificial Intelligence
For handling AI tasks, Snapdragon 675 brings Hexagon 685 DSP coupled with Hexagon Vector Processor and Qualcomm All-Ways Aware technology. According to the company’s claims, multiple cores are dedicated to giving more Artificial Intelligence power in the chipset. While on the other side, MediaTek Helio P90 brings AI Fusion Architecture which can handle every AI-related tasks. It got new APU 2.0 clocked at 624MHz using it, this chipset delivers better AI performance than other chipsets.
