Starting the comparison with their CPU section, here Snapdragon 710 got 64-bit octa-core CPU which features Kryo 360 CPU. The Kryo 360 CPU includes 2 ARM’s Cortex-A75 Gold cores clocked at 2.20GHz and other 6 Cortex-A55 Silver cores running at 1.70GHz. While MediaTek Helio P70 also features a 64-bit octa-core CPU which includes 4 ARM’s Cortex-A73 powerful cores clocked at 2.10GHz and other 4 Cortex-A53 efficiency cores operating at 2.00GHz clock speed. Moving to the camera department, here Snapdragon 710 has Qualcomm Spectra 250 image signal processor – a 14-bit dual IPS that can support a dual camera up to 20MP at 30fps with MFNR & ZSL and single camera up to 32MP at 30fps with MFNR & ZSL. With MFNR only, it is capable to support up to 48MP single camera sensor and 192MP without MFNR & ZSL. It also can record videos in 4K UHD at 30fps and 1080p at 120fps.

While MediaTek Helio P70 is capable to support up to 20MP + 16MP dual camera sensors at 90fps and 32MP single camera at 30fps. It can go up to 48MP too.

RAM & Storage

In terms of RAM & storage, Snapdragon 710 can support Dual-Channel, 16 bit LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB clocked at 1866MHz and storage type of UFS 2.1 and eMMC 5.1.
While MediaTek Helio P70 can support LPDDR3 RAM up to 4GB clocked at 933MHz and LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB running at 1800MHz. It also supports the storage type of eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1.


In the display section, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 brings support for Quad HD+ displays with a maximum resolution of 3360 x 1440 pixels while MediaTek Helio P70 got support for a maximum resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Here also Snapdragon 710 has support for better displays.

The use of AI makes the smartphone more intelligent and smooth. Both Snapdragon 710 and Helio P70 got support for AI. MediaTek Helio P70 incorporates a Tensilica DSP serving as an NPU with a peak performance of 280 GMAC/s. It has a dedicated Multi-Core APU clocked at 525MHz.

While Snapdragon 710 got Hexagon 685 DSP coupled with the company’s 3rd gen Vector eXtensions and All-Ways Aware technology. It can handle AI-based tasks but not well than Helio P70. So the Helio P70 has a better AI processing than Snapdragon 710 because of the dedicated APU 2.0.
