Starting the comparison with their CPU, speaking of CPU of Snapdragon 712, it features an octa-core CPU based on 64-bit memory architecture. This CPU features the company’s Kryo 360 CPU which includes 2 Cortex-A75 powerful cores clocked at 2.0GHz clock speed and 6 Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 1.8GHz clock speed. While on the other hand, Exynos 7904 also features a 64-bit octa-core CPU which includes 2 Cortex-A73 powerful cores running at 1.8GHz while other 6 Cortex-A53 efficiency cores clocked at 1.6GHz clock speed.
Here the Snapdragon 712 features better CPU cores with higher frequency. So, in this case, Snapdragon 712 will perform better over Exynos 7904 chipset.
Moving on GPU section, here Snapdragon 712 features Adreno 616 GPU while Exynos 7904 got ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU. Moving to the camera department, in this case, Snapdragon 712 got company’s Spectra 250 ISP which is a 14-bit dual Image Signal Processor and it is capable to support up to 32MP single camera and dual camera up to 16MP at 30fps with MFNR and ZSL. With MFNR only it can support up to 48MP single camera and 192MP without MFNR and ZSL.
While on the other side, Exynos 7904 has support for 16MP + 16MP dual camera sensors and a single camera up to 32MP.
RAM & Storage
In this case, both chipsets have support for LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB running at 1866MHz while in terms of storage Exynos 7904 supports eMMC 5.1 storage and Snapdragon 712 supports UFS 2.1 and eMMC 5.1 types of storage.
Talking about the display, here Snapdragon 712 supports up to Quad HD+ HDR10 displays while Exynos 7904 can support up to Full HD+ displays with a maximum resolution of up to 2400×1080 pixels.

To handling AI tasks, the Snapdragon 712 features Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP. We have seen the AI performance of this processor in Mi 9 SE. It performs very well in terms of AI. While on the other Exynos 7904 is not manufactured for AI tasks. It is not claimed to provide better AI tasks. This chipset is manufactured for normal use. So in this case also Snapdragon 712 is a better processor over Exynos 7904.
