As its name suggests, it is the successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 and 730G chipsets.
Speaking of Snapdragon 735, it will also power the upper-midrange smartphones. According to leak informations the company could bring this chipset in December 2019 when Qualcomm usually has an event in Hawaii. Now the difference between Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 and Snapdragon 730G has to be seen. Considering this we brought this article of the comparison of Snapdragon 735 and Snapdragon 730G chipsets.
Here you can compare Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 and Snapdragon 730G. Comparing Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 vs Snapdragon 730G on Mobiles Intro, enables you to check their respective specs scores and unique features. It would potentially help you understand how Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 stands against Snapdragon 730G and which one should you go for. Let’s know about them by starting the comparison…
Snapdragon 735 vs Snapdragon 730G CPU & GPU
Starting the comparison with the CPU of Snapdragon 735, like Snapdragon 730G it also has an Octa-Core CPU based on 64bit memory architecture. The difference will be found in their clock speed. Speaking of its CPU architecture, it contains 2 ARM’s Cortex-A76 Gold Cores clocked at 2.36GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 Silver Cores operating at up to 1.73GHz clock speed.
While on the other side speaking of Snapdragon 730G, it also has an Octa-Core CPU based on 64bit memory architecture that can operate at a maximum clock speed of 2.20GHz. Talking about its CPU architecture, it includes 2 ARM’s Cortex-A76 Gold Cores clocked at 2.20GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 Silver Cores running with a maximum clock speed of 1.80GHz.
Here the small cores of Snapdragon 730G have a tiny better clock speed while the big cores of Snapdragon 735 have better clock speed than Snapdragon 730G. So having better clock speed of big cores, Snapdragon 735 is a better chipset than Snapdragon 730G chipset because of which it will offer a better CPU performance than Snapdragon 730G chipset.

Talking about the GPU section, here in the newer Snapdragon 735 you will get an Adreno 620 GPU which can operate at 750MHz while on the other side, Snapdragon 730G integrates an Adreno 620 GPU clocked at 500MHz.
Here the Adreno 620 present on Snapdragon 735 is an upgrade over the Adreno 618 GPU of Snapdragon 730G. The clock speed is also better of the GPU of Snapdragon 735 which is 750MHz instead of 500MHz of Adreno 618 of Snapdragon 730G. So in terms of gaming the Snapdragon 730 has a better GPU than Snapdragon 730G. For gaming ou should go for Snapdragon 735. It will offer a fluid gaming experience compared to Snapdragon 730G.
Looking at the fabrication process, the Snapdragon 735 is designed at the 7nm LPP process technology while Snapdragon 730G uses the 8nm manufacturing process. Here both Snapdragon 735 and Snapdragon 730G are power-efficient chipsets but the difference of 1nm makes Snapdragon 735 a more powerful and power-efficient chipset than Snapdragon 730G.
Snapdragon 735 vs Snapdragon 730G Other Features
Camera & Optics
Coming to the camera section, here both chipsets have the same Spectra 350 ISP – a 14bit Dual ISP that is capable to handle up to 20MP + 20MP dual camera and single camera up to 32MP at 30fps with MFNR and ZSL. With MFNR only it can support up to 48MP single camera and up to 192MP single camera without MFNR & ZSL. Here the newer Snapdragon 735 doesn’t bring any improvement over Snapdragon 730G chipset.
RAM & Storage
In the case of RAM, the newer Snapdragon 735 has support for 16bit Dual-Channel LPDDR4X RAM up to 16GB operating at up to 2133MHz and storage types of UFS 2.1 & eMMC 5.1.
While on the other side, Snapdragon 730G can support 16bit Dual-Channel LPDDR4X RAM up to 8GB clocked at 1866MHz and storage types of UFS 2.1 & eMMC 5.1.
Here both chipsets have support for Quad HD+ displays with a maximum display resolution of 3360×1440 pixels. Here also the newer Snapdragon 735 doesn’t bring any improvement over Snapdragon 730G chipset.
Snapdragon 735 vs Snapdragon 730G Artificial Intelligence
For handling all the AI related tasks, the newer Snapdragon 735 got the NPU220. It can operate at a maximum clock speed of 1GHz.
On the other side, Snapdragon 730G brings the company’s 4th generation multi-core AI Engine fuels intuitive on-device features for camera, gaming, voice and security. It has Qualcomm Hexagon 688 DSP paired with Hexagon Vector eXtensions and Qualcomm All-Ways Aware technology.
