Chinese smartphone maker company Vivo has launched a new smartphone of its Z series in China. The name of this smartphone is Vivo Z5X and Vivo Z5X is the first smartphone of Vivo to come with punch-hole display. The initial price of Vivo Z5X is 1,398 Chinese Yuan almost Rs. 14,400. At this price the Vivo Z5X features a 6.53 inches punch-hole display, Snapdraon 710 processor, triple rear camera, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage as well as 5,000 mAh big battery. The sale of the Vivo Z5X in China is starting next week. When it will be launched in India, the company has not provided any official information regarding this.

Vivo Z5X vs Redmi Note 7 Pro Display and Design

First of all talking about the display of Vivo Z5X, it features a 6.53 inch punch-hole display with a full HD plus (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. On the back panel the Vivo Z5X features a triple rear camera setup with LED flash as well as fingerprint scanner and Vivo branding. Its back panel is made of plastic i.e. polycarbonate.

On the other hand speaking of Redmi Note 7 Pro, it features a 6.3 inches display with full HD plus (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and 81.41% screen-to-body ratio. It features a dot-Notch display with protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and its back panel also comes with protection of 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On the back panel the Redmi Note 7 Pro features a dual rear camera setup with LED flash as well as fingerprint scanner and Redmi branding at bottom.

The Vivo Z5X has bigger dislpay with punch-hole and bigger screen-to-body ratio, on other hand the Redmi Note 7 Pro has protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides.

Speaking of performance, the Vivo Z5X works on Android 9.0 Pie based FunTouch OS 9 out-of-the-box. For performance the Vivo Z5S features Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset processor.  It has Adreno 616 GPU integrated Graphics.
For multitasking the Vivo Z5X has 3 options of RAM – 4GB, 6GB and 8GB with 64GB and 128GB storage. It also features a dedicated microSD card slot to expand its storage.
To powering the Vivo Z5X, the company has provided a 5,000 mAh big battery in the phone with 10W charger in the box. To charge this battery it has a micro USB port.

On other side talking about Redmi Note 7 Pro, it works on Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 10 out-of-the-box. For performance the Redmi Note 7 Pro features Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset processor.  It has Adreno 612 GPU integrated Graphics.
For multitasking the Redmi Note 7 Pro has 2 options of RAM – 4GB and 6GB with 64GB and 128GB storage. It has a hybrid SIM slot to expand the storage. It means you can use 1 nano SIM + 1 microSD card or 2 nano SIM at a time.
To powering the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the company has provided a 4,000 mAh battery in the phone with 10W charger in the box and it supports Quick Charge 4.0. To charge this battery it has a USB Type-C port.

In terms of performance the Vivo Z5X is clear winner because it features Snapdragon 710 chipset and 616 GPU, because of this this phone performs slightly better and uses low power consumption. Also it features a bigger battery, a dedicated microSD card slot and 3 options of RAM.

Talking about the camera of Vivo Z5X, it packs a triple rear camera setup with LED flash on the back panel. It has a 16 Megapixel primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide sensor which has an aperture of f/2.2 and third is 2 Megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calling the Vivo Z5X features a 16 Megapixels selfie shooter on the front panel which has an aperture of f/2.0. For selfie camera the phone has a punch-hole at corner of the display.

Speaking of camera of Redmi Note 7 Pro, it features a dual rear camera setup with LED flash on the back panel. It has a 48 Megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and a 5 Megapixels secondary depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calling the Redmi Note 7 Pro features a 13 Megapixels selfie shooter on the front panel which has an aperture of f/2.0.

In terms of rear camera the Redmi Note 7 Pro is better while the Vivo Z5X has an extra ultra wide sensor of 8MP. In terms of selfie camera the Vivo Z5X wins because of 16MP front camera.

Speaking of price of Vivo Z5X, first let’s tell you the Vivo Z5X is launched in 3 variants of RAM and storage – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and it is only launched in China still now. The price of its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is 1398 Chinese Yuan almost Rs. 14,400 at the same time its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs 1498 Chinese Yuan almost 15,400 Indian Rupees. The cost of its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is 1698 Chinese Yuan almost Rs. 17,400.

On the other side the Redmi Note 7 Pro has 2 variants based on RAM and storage – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The price of its base variant which comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, is Rs. 13,999 while its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs 16,999 Indian Rupees.

Conclution

Now let’s come on conclution, the 4GB variant of Vivo Z5X is slightly expensive than Redmi Note 7 Pro’s 4GB variant but it features some better specs such as processor, GPU, battery, selfie camera, display and more RAM options. While the 6GB variant of Vivo Z5X is cheaper that Redmi Note 7 Pro’s 6GB variant, it also has an 8GB variant. In overall comparision the Vivo Z5X is a good option than Redmi Note 7 Pro, so you should go with Vivo Z5X instead of Redmi Note 7 Pro. Or if you want a good build quality, better rear camera and type-C port then you can buy Redmi Note 7 Pro.
